The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board(JAMB), has announced the suspension of Damdav CBT center located along the Olorunsogo area in Ilorin, Kwara state over the violation of its rules of operations.

The board’s registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede made the announcement when he paid an unscheduled visit to about seven registration centers in the Ilorin metropolis on Monday, January 30.
He explained that Damdav center was suspended after he (Oloyede) discovered that instead of buying enough Closed-circuit television (CCTV ) cameras to cover the center, the owner only had one camera installed. He added that the center will not be allowed to register or conduct exams until “those things are corrected“.
He further revealed that 445,081 candidates had registered for the 2023 UTME as of Sunday, January 29, and about 1.8 million candidates are expected to register before the February 14 deadline.
Speaking on the possibility of an extension of the registration deadline, Oloyede said, “we have gone half way. You see some of our people will come to register at the last hour thinking that there will be extension. There is no room for extension.
