Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma, a 19-year-old candidate who recently made headlines for alleged result manipulation in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), has expressed deep remorse and issued a heartfelt apology to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB’s Registrar.
During her appearance before the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee investigating the allegations of manipulation, she openly acknowledged her involvement and presented a written apology to the committee.
Mmesoma, being candid, admitted that her actions were driven by ignorance, and she only realized the gravity of her actions after manipulating her result.
She emphasized that such misconduct is not characteristic of her behavior and emphasized that it was her first and only time engaging in such behavior. She humbly pleaded with JAMB to show leniency and mercy in their judgment.
