The Members of the Lagos State University Postgraduate School Board, on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, re-elected Professor Ibrahim Olawale Olateju as Dean of the School.


The election was conducted at the MBA Building, LASU Main Campus, Ojo, Lagos.
The Centre for Information and Public Relations (CIPR), reliably gathered that the election had a total number of Seventeen (17) eligible voters. Sixteen (16) out of the Seventeen (17) votes cast were in favour of Professor Ibrahim Olateju, while one (1) vote was recorded invalid.
The Deputy Registrar, Postgraduate School and Returning Officer, Mr Olugbenga Sadiku after the election, declared Professor Ibrahim Olawale Olateju, the winner.
Professor Olateju emerged the Dean, Postgraduate School for a second term of two (2) years. His first term in office would lapse on Monday, 14th July 2025.
Recall that the process of the Deanship election at the Faculty, commenced on Tuesday, 10th June and came to a close on Friday, 20th June 2025, where only Professor Ibrahim Olawale Olateju was nominated for the position.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Olateju appreciated the board members for their support and for believing in him and his administration. He appealed to them for their continuous support in order to drive advancement and foster excellence in the Postgraduate School of the University.
Professor Olateju is a Professor of Project Management, a renowned educationalist, a mathematician, a statistician, a project consultant, an administrator, a vibrant lecturer, and an icon in educational sector in Lagos State.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, congratulates Professor Olateju on his re-election and wishes him a successful tenure.
