- Be Punctual for all meetings, dates, get-together, – everything. Just Plan ahead thoughtfully and meaningfully.
- Do not be a mooch. Replace what you borrow before it is missed, and ask before taking anything which definitely could be missed.
- Be considerate when using your smartphone. Text if possible, and be low-key and quiet when you need to make or take a call.
- Always show up when you RSVP – and don’t RSVP until you’re absolutely sure you’ll show up.
- Do not push your diet on others. Talking about it is fine, but only when it is truly passive and non-assertive.
- Always help clean-up when you’re at a dinner party or an actual party.
- NEVER use a text message to communicate extremely serious news or information.
- NEVER take pets with you around town while you run errands (or at least do so very rare)
- Always make sure you’re the only person who can hear the music coming out of your earphones or headphones.
- NEVER ask people to bring food when you’re organizing party or a get-together.
- Never post confidential messages , information or images to social media networks
- Never force anyone to watch, read or do the same or do the same things you do. Again, talking about it is fine, but don’t be pushy or assertive.
- Don’t be the person who always laughs or talks too loud.
- Always split the bill equally when dining out (or at least genuinely offer to do so).
- Don’t crash a party with an uninvited guest (s).
- Always hold doors open when there’s someone right behind you.
- Don’t check or text twitter while you’re part of a dinner party.
- Always sit quietly in the back if you cannot help being late for a class, meeting, or an event.
- Be courteous of other human beings – and even more courteous of those who are less fortunate.
- Offer to wait for the next elevator if you make it on but there’s no room for someone else.
- Don’t rush for the exists after a movie ends or after the door on a bus opens. Instead, exit when it is most convenient for you and everyone else.
- Don’t push food or drinks on people when you know they’re on diet
- Don’t interrupt people when they are talking.
- Always thank the driver when you ride in a bus, taxi, uber or lift
- Don’t take up more than one seat when you travel on planes, trains or buses.
