Her Journey
Anne moved to the U.S. at 15 without knowing English, driven by hope and determination to build a better future. By age 17, she enrolled in FAMU’s College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, where she adapted to a new culture while holding firmly to her Haitian roots.
“To the culture that made me who I am today—thank you. Everything I know and everything I am is because I am a Haitian woman,” she shared.
Overcoming Obstacles
Her academic path was filled with long nights, early mornings, and emotional challenges.
“God, thank you for your unwavering favor over my life. When I didn’t think I would make it, you showed me it was already written!”
She credited her classmates, known as “TwoFive,” and the College of Love and Charity for providing support and shaping her character.
“FAMU welcomed a 17-year-old girl and turned her into a strong, confident woman.”
What’s Next?
Now officially a Doctor of Pharmacy, Anne is ready to impact lives through medicine.
“I became a doctor because nothing I do is little. Thank you, FAMU, for this degree.”
