Cursory: Chirag Falor had secured the top rank in the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced and he had also got 100 percentile in the JEE Mains

Wondering why Falor had to drop out after topping Joint Entrance Examination which is known to be the toughest exam in India?
It is to be noted that Chirag Falor had topped JEE Advanced exam in 2020 but he decided not to take admission in IIT because he wanted to study in the United States’ Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and had already secured admission at the prestigious institute.
Falor succeeded in getting admission in March 2020 but he was unable to travel to the US due to the COVID-19 lockdown and that’s why he pursued his course online from India.
In his words:
“I have secured admission in MIT and I will go ahead with it. The classes have already begun and I am attending them online. I had prepared for four years for these exams so I didn”t want to skip appearing for the exam
“The JEE was tougher than the exam at MIT. The exam has given me a different confidence altogether. I used to attend MIT classes online during the night and then prepare for IIT exams in the day.”
He succeeded in securing 352 out of 396 mark in the JEE Advanced.
In 2019, Falor had won a gold medal at the 13th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) and he also finished on top at American Mathematics 2019.
