JAMB 2024: Nearly Two Million Candidates Set to Write UTME on April 19, See Other Statistics

A total of 1,985,642 JAMB candidates will be taking the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scheduled to start on 19th April 2024. Here’s a breakdown of some key statistics.

In exactly 31 days to JAMB (as of the time of writing), a total of One Million, Nine Hundred Eighty-five thousand, Six hundred forty-two (1,985,642) candidates will be in the 2024 JAMB Exam.

Out of the approximately 2m candidates, 123,636 candidates originated from Oyo State. This number puts them as the state with the HIGHEST APPLICANTS for 2024.

Ogun State emerged as the 2nd state with the highest number of applicants, with a total of 114,435 candidates.

Osun State emerged 3rd position with 110,854 candidates while Imo State emerged 4th position with 102,741 candidates.

Also, the bulletin revealed that more GIRLS bought the JAMB 2024 application form. However, the difference isn’t that much.

A total of 1,00,5223 females bought the form while only 980,419 males bought the form.

The bulletin also revealed that nearly 1.4 billion Naira (N1,389,333,400) was given to JAMB CBT owners for their services.
