Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, a one-year-old African kid has broken Gunness World Records as the World’s Youngest Artist.

Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah, a young boy from Ghana, has just set a remarkable record, earning a spot in the Guinness World Records as the world’s youngest male artist at the tender age of 1 year and 152 days.
“At the age of one year and 152 days old, little Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah from Ghana is the world’s youngest artist,” GWR announced on Wednesday.
From the time he was just six months old, Ace-Liam showed a keen interest in art. Today, he boasts an impressive portfolio of over 20 paintings. His debut group exhibition, The Soundout Premium Exhibition at the Museum of Science and Technology in Ghana, featured ten of his works, nine of which were sold.
Ace-Liam is captivated by the tactile sensation of paint, the vibrant colors, and the freedom to express himself through his artwork, according to GWR. His mother, Chantelle, who is also an artist, recognized his passion early on.
“While learning to crawl, I spread out a piece of unstretched canvas on the floor and dropped some paint on it as a way to keep him busy while I worked on a commission painting,” Chantelle shared. “He ended up spreading the paint all over the canvas, and in the process, he created his first masterpiece titled ‘The Crawl’. It was clear that he found a lot of joy in it.”
Ace-Liam’s extraordinary talent has garnered attention from both national and international media, even catching the eye of the First Lady of the Republic of Ghana. His work has sparked conversations about art appreciation and the importance of nurturing young talent.
Chantelle describes painting as a fun and creative outlet for Ace-Liam, one that he enjoys immensely. “Ever since he started talking, he would ask to paint, as it has become his favorite activity.”
Ace-Liam’s masterpieces are more about exploration and expression than specific messages. “His abstract paintings are inspired by the world around him; colors, shapes, textures, and his mood. Every painting is an expression of his curiosity and joy in discovering new things.”
GWR notes that Ace-Liam’s painting sessions are spontaneous and guided by his mood. Once his studio is set up, he chooses the canvas size and colors, and then begins his creative process. “A painting session can last anywhere from a few minutes to about half an hour, depending on his interest at the moment. Sometimes he leaves a painting and comes back to it after a couple of days to finish it. Once he’s done, he says ‘mama finish’.”
Following the recognition of his record, Ace-Liam’s family is exploring opportunities to nurture his talent through quality education and international scholarships. Chantelle encourages other parents to support their children’s interests, no matter how early they appear.
“Every child is unique, and nurturing their passions can lead to amazing discoveries and achievements,” she advises.
For those aspiring to break a world record, Chantelle offers some advice: “Read the rules carefully, over and over again before attempting it. And remember, the journey and the joy it brings is very fulfilling.”
