A UNILAG student went viral after turning heads on costume day with a striking corpse bride outfit inspired by Tim Burton’s Emily, earning admiration and amusement across social media.

A University of Lagos (UNILAG) student sparked attention and conversation after showing up dressed as a corpse bride during the school’s costume day celebration.
The dramatic appearance was captured in a TikTok video shared by user @adaa_orah, where the student revealed she was inspired by “Emily,” the iconic character from Corpse Bride.
“She asked me what is my costume, I told her Emily (corpse bride) like a dead person—and she screamed,” the caption read.
With her skin painted in bluish tones and wearing a flowing white dress, the student perfectly embodied the eerie-yet-artistic look, causing other students to stare, react, and take pictures as she walked through campus.
The video quickly went viral, drawing praise and amusement from viewers online.
