Brilliant Lady Abandons Nigerian Studies After 3 Years in 100 Level, Completes Bachelor’s Degree in the UK in Three Years

After facing delays at the University of Nigeria (UNN), Prisca Akaniro moved to the UK, where she completed a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the University of Nottingham in three years and secured a job shortly after graduation.

A brilliant Nigerian woman, Prisca Akaniro, left her studies at the University of Nigeria (UNN) after spending three years stuck in her first year due to strikes and delays, and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham in the UK.

Prisca’s sister, Peppy, shared on Twitter that Prisca had faced significant delays at UNN caused by academic union strikes, the COVID-19 pandemic, and other issues, which led the family to support her move to the UK to continue her education.

Prisca started fresh in the UK, completing a foundation year with distinction before earning her Computer Science degree in just three years—the same amount of time she had lost in Nigeria.

Expressing her gratitude, Prisca thanked her family for their unwavering support, saying she would choose them “again and again” and shared her happiness on Instagram after receiving a job offer just three weeks after graduating.

Peppy highlighted Prisca’s success, emphasizing how proud the family is of her achievements and her readiness to contribute to innovative software development projects.
