MOUAU Notice on  Stoppage of Condonement of Illegal Admissions by JAMB.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) vide a letter to Heads of Tertiary institutions dated 31 July, 2024 (See attached) drew the attention of Institutions to the abuse of the Condonement of Undisclosed illegal Institutional Admission (CUIIA). For clarity purposes. CUIIA are categories of students whose admissions are outside the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) or admission that were given by institutions outside JAMB procedure within the 2017-2020 sessions without registration number (unofficial/unregistered admission).

JAMB also notified institutions on their intention to terminate the window because of the obvious abuse by some institutions with their students to falsify vital details. Consequently, institutions are given 30 days notice, beginning from 1″ August to 31″ August 2024 to upload or include their students who fall within these category for proper update before the deadline of 31 August, 2024.

By this memo, I wish to communicate JAMB’s directives to the Deans/HODs and College Officers to advice affected students (those students without JAMB registration number or JAMB admission letter) to use the opening grace and update their records at JAMB Office Ubakala before the closing date.

Similarly, Students who changed their original programme after admission from JAMB are also required to comply accordingly.
