Abdulrasheed Olurombi graduated with a 4.81/5.00 first-class Law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University, earning the best student award while making history with one of the highest GPAs in the faculty’s 40-year history.
A brilliant Nigerian student, Abdulrasheed Olurombi, has graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Southwest Nigeria, with a first-class degree in Law, achieving an impressive cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.81/5.00. His academic excellence earned him the title of the best-graduating student in the Faculty of Law for the 2023/2024 academic session.
Abdulrasheed shared his achievement on LinkedIn, where he celebrated not only winning the best student award but also making history by attaining one of the highest GPAs ever recorded in the 40-year history of the Faculty of Law at the university. He credited his success to hard work, determination, and perseverance.
Throughout his time at the university, Abdulrasheed maintained a first-class GPA across all ten semesters and achieved a perfect 5.00 GPA in four of those semesters. His outstanding performance also earned him numerous awards, including recognition as the best student in Commercial Law, Equity and Trusts, and Nigerian Legal System and Legal Research.
In addition to his academic success, Abdulrasheed actively participated in extra-curricular activities, particularly moot court competitions, and held leadership positions in various student organizations. His involvement led to him being named the Best Student Advocate and the Head of the most outstanding Chambers in the Faculty.
Expressing gratitude for his academic milestone, Abdulrasheed thanked God for guiding his journey and enabling him to complete his degree with such remarkable success. He also acknowledged those who inspired him to believe in the possibility of achieving a first-class degree, despite the general perception that it was nearly impossible.
Looking ahead, Abdulrasheed plans to continue his legal education at the Nigerian Law School and is exploring opportunities for Graduate Trainee and Internship roles to further enhance his legal expertise and gain practical experience in the field of law.
