The Jigawa State Government has set January 6, 2025, as the resumption date for schools, urging parents and teachers to ensure timely return and immediate commencement of academic activities.


The Jigawa State Government has announced Monday, January 6, 2025, as the resumption date for all public and private schools in the state for the second term of the 2024-2025 academic session.
In a statement issued to journalists, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, clarified that boarding students are to resume on Sunday, January 5, while day students are expected back in their respective schools on Monday, January 6. Normal academic activities will begin immediately upon resumption.
Professor Chamo urged parents to ensure their wards return to school promptly, noting that the ministry has made adequate provisions for teaching aids to enhance effective learning. He also called on teachers to report to their respective schools and commence lessons without delay.
To ensure compliance, the ministry will deploy officials to monitor resumption activities and the immediate commencement of lessons in schools across the state.
