PZ Cussons 6th Edition Chemistry Challenge Competition Examination Requirements
- Accreditation Starts by 8am
- Students are to come with their respective school uniforms
- No alterations are to be made on the answer sheet.
- Students are required to come with biro/pen, HB Pencil, neat eraser, and a sharpener.
- Students are to use only HB Pencils to shade answers
- Calculators are allowed.

About PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge.
PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge Competition is Nigeria’s number one pure science contest. The competition was designed to stimulate and inspire the learning of Chemistry amongst students. This competition is an initiative of the PZ Cussons Foundation and powered by Premier Soap, Nigeria’s number 1 toilet soap from the stables of PZ Cussons Nigeria.
Objectives PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge.
- The overall objective is to continue to make PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge the No. 1 platform for supporting the learning of Chemistry in Schools.
- To promote the girl child education within Nigeria.
- Recruiting new schools to the initiative
- Deepen brand awareness and association for Premier
Target Audience.
- SS 2 Secondary School Student
- Teachers
- School principals and proprietor
Entry Requirement for PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge.
- Competition is open to all SS 2 Chemistry Students in Nigerian schools.
- Students must be schooling within Nigeria.
- Students are to be sponsored by their Secondary School and/or Parent.
- Entries are Open to both Private and Public secondary schools.
- Entry is FREE.
How to Register for PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge.
Registration would be strictly online.
Students are to register on site for the competition and generate a printout for identification (see link to register below). After registration candidates would be required to printout a computer-generated docket (with passport picture, name, school, passport, parent’s and principal’s name etc) for identification.
A unique code/ OTP/ exam number and full log-in details would be displayed telling the candidate when/ where to take the first phase of the exam.
Only the top 200 per state would make it to the ‘Activation phase’.
The activation phase would be broken into 3 stages:
- Top 200 from the online test would seat across 3 CBT centres – Lagos, Abuja & Rivers.
- Top 10 students from each centre would compete in Lagos, Abuja and Rivers in a practical test.
- Top 2 Students from each centre would compete in Lagos on stage for the PZCCC title.
Grand Finale for PZ Cussons Chemistry Challenge.
The top 6 students (2 each from Lagos, Abuja & PortHarcourt) will compete for the grand prize of N1m.
Important Information to Note.
The first stage of the competition which is the online CBT will run from now until May 16th. There is no limit to the number of participating students per school. The competition is open to all SS2 students across Nigeria.
PZCCC 2019 is a Pan Nigerian challenge for SS 2 chemistry students schooling in Nigeria only. Candidates who successfully scale the online CBT stage would seat for another controlled CBT exam at 3 physical centres across Nigeria viz Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Also, in a bid to improve the capacity of Chemistry teachers across secondary schools, this year’s edition will include a two-day teachers’ training and a ‘Train the Trainers’ segment as a means to equip and reward chemistry teachers who are dedicated to building and impacting future generations’.
