Seventeen year old Nigerian Heads Global Ranking in Cambridge English Exam.

Nigerian teenager Mmesoma Okonkwo, a standout student from Chrisland High School, has been named the world’s best in English by Cambridge International Examinations, earning top global honors and national recognition for her exceptional academic achievements.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has honored Mmesoma Okonkwo, a 17-year-old student from Anambra State, for achieving the top global score in the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) English Language category. Her outstanding performance placed her ahead of thousands of candidates from over 160 countries, earning her the title of Overall Best in English Language.

A proud graduate of Chrisland High School, Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lagos, Mmesoma served as Head Girl of the Class of 2023. Her exceptional result led to her being named “Nigerian of the Week” by the NOA on Wednesday, June 25, following official confirmation from Cambridge Assessment International Education in the United Kingdom.
