A Nigerian youth corps member claims she was mistakenly paid ₦777,000 instead of ₦77,000 by NYSC and plans to report the issue, sparking mixed reactions online.

A Nigerian youth corps member has alleged that she received ₦777,000 instead of the usual ₦77,000 monthly allowance from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
She shared her concerns in a video posted on TikTok, where she expressed shock over the unusual payment and stated her intention to report the matter to the relevant authorities.
Shocking Bank Alert
In the video, she explained that she woke up, checked her phone, and was stunned to see an alert of ₦777,000 from NYSC instead of the expected ₦77,000. Worried about potential repercussions, she said she planned to visit her bank, the police station, and her Local Government Inspector (LGI) to clarify the situation.
Her statement read:
“I received an alert of ₦777K instead of the ₦77K they’re paying others. My own 7 is 3. I’m going to the police station to report, I’ll also visit my LGI office and inform my bank before I get accused of not raising an alarm.”
