IBBUL Senate Nominates Professor Niworu As Deputy Vice Chancellor


The Senate of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai at its 101st Regular meeting nominated Professor Salihu Mohammed Niworu, the present Director, Academic Planning as a new Deputy Vice Chancellor.
He was elected by a vast majority that extended since the expiration of his nomination to bear in actualising the world-class vision of one of the leading State Universities in the country—IBBUL University, Lapai.
Presiding over the meeting, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Salihu, congratulated Professor Niworu and described him as outgoing Deputy Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and the provisions of the University’s establishment law, which provides for two Deputy Vice Chancellors.
He expressed confidence in Professor Niworu’s capacity to deliver, stressing that his nomination was based on merit, competence, and dedication to the growth of the institution.
In his acceptance speech, Professor Mohammed Salihu Niworu thanked Almighty Allah, the Vice Chancellor, and the Senate for finding him worthy of the appointment.
He pledged his discharge of his responsibilities diligently and work closely with the Vice Chancellor to yield results and share resources at large.
