Corps Members have been advised to put Nigeria first in all they do and strongly believe the possibilities the country has in store for them.

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu stated this while addressing the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two Corps Members at NYSC Lagos State Orientation Camp in Iyana-Ipaja.
He described Lagos as the land of opportunity and so, urged them to work hard and build themselves up. They were further encouraged to serve their fatherland with dedication and selflessness, in addition, leave indelible marks in their various places of primary assignment across the State.
General Nafiu also charged the Corps Members to use the period of the Orientation Course to get to know one another and the diverse cultures of the country.
He said as leaders of tomorrow, they should network and integrate among themselves since they had obeyed the Clarion call for National Service.
Speaking further, the Director General advised the Corps Members to utilize the series of lectures they would have in Camp to prepare themselves adequately for the service year.
“Respect their culture, integrate properly and you are going to appreciate the value of Lagos culture”, he said.
While presenting her Camp situation report to the Director General, the NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs Christiana Salmwang said since the commencement of the Orientation Exercise, the Corps Members had shown readiness with their spirit of nationalism and dedication to assimilate the tenets of the Orientation Exercise for a seamless service year.
She added that they had all imbibed team work in all they do.
