NDA Debunks Reports of Alleged Portal Closure & Applicants’ Exclusion in 78 RC Screening Process

Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA has debunked reports of alleged portal closure & applicants’ exclusion in 78 RC screening process

The attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), has been drawn to a report by some media houses alleging that some prospective candidates seeking admission into the NDA, have expressed frustration after the institution’s admission portal reportedly became inaccessible shortly after opening, leaving many of the candidates unable to complete their registration for the 78 Regular Course.

The Academy wishes to categorically state that these claims are inaccurate and do not reflect the realities of the admission process. It is therefore imperative to clarify that the application portal for the 78 Regular Course officially opened from 28 November 2025 to 30 April 2026 and subsequently extended to 15 May 2026, in accordance with the approved admission schedule and the portal remained accessible throughout the application period. Furthermore, candidates who obtained a score of 180 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and selected NDA as first choice institution in their JAMB registration were sent an email on 19 May 2026, to register for the NDA Screening Test not later than 24 May 2026.

Information regarding application procedures, timelines and requirements, was widely disseminated through multiple official channels, including the NDA website, application portal www.ndaapplications.net, official social media platforms and direct email notifications to applicants.

Furthermore, the Academy provided sufficient time for interested candidates to complete all registration requirements, including the generation of Remita Retrieval References (RRRs), payment of application fees and submission of application forms. In addition, throughout the application period, candidates were repeatedly advised to monitor official communication channels for updates and important notices.

Similarly, the allegation that some candidates received privileged or advance information is entirely unfounded. The Academy maintains a transparent, merit-based and equitable admission process that affords all eligible applicants equal opportunity. No individual or group was granted preferential access to registration information or procedures.

It is pertinent to note that the NDA operates a structured and time-bound admission process to ensure proper planning and conduct of its screening and selection activities.

Consequently, candidates who did not complete the required registration processes within the stipulated timeframe cannot be accommodated for the NDA Screening Test scheduled for 20 June 2026.

The Academy remains committed to transparency, fairness and excellence in the conduct of its admission processes and urges members of the public to rely only on information disseminated through its official communication channels.
