A student of Federal university of Oye-Ekiti Idowu Damilola Eunice, as emerged as the winner in a debate competition in the recently concluded Nigerian Association of Microbiology Students (NAMS) South-West Chapter. The regional convention took place between the 10th and the 12th of March at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Ogun state.
Eunice is a 200 level student of the Microbiology department (FUOYE). She claimed first while students from Obafemi Awolowo University and University of Lagos emerged second and third respectively.
When she was interviewed by UCJ FUOYE, Idowu Damilola who represented Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) confessed that she was really nervous and scared about being the only representative of FUOYE.
NAMS South-West regional convention is an avenue to bring together the students of Microbiology in all the Universities and Polytechnics across the South-Western parts of Nigeria.

The convention started on Tuesday, the 10th of March and thirty-one Nigerian higher institutions were represented. They include Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State University (EKSU), Fountain University, University of Ibadan (UI), Redeemers University, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic, Osun State Polytechnic, Adekunle Ajasin university, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), and many more.
