Higher institutions shut down schools few weeks ago due the the pandemic of Covid-19 recorded in the country. Minister of education Mallam Adamu Adamu on Thursday directed all higher institutions to commence with E-learning to enable students to continue their studies through digital device.

In the meeting, over 230 vice chancellor and Rectors including federal, States and private institutions, agreed the new development.

This decision buy the university heads made student to react. Origbemisuyi Damilola said; ”how do Nigeria government expect students that doesn’t have mobile phone or computer system cope with that idea.”

”Another student said that; ”Nigeria is not yet ripe for e-learning. We are trying to emulate outside country who are more developed than us without first implementing the basic necessities. In developed countries, learning are made easy for their students. Students who can’t afford tuition fees have the opportunity of doing part-time job as supplements, some are even receiving salaries. But Nigeria has nothing to offer us.”
