Al-ansar University, Maiduguri has secured full operational licence from NUC approved by the federal government of Nigeria.
In a landmark development, Al-Ansar University, Maiduguri, has officially received a Full Operational Licence from the National Universities Commission (NUC), an approval granted on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), marking the successful completion of its three-year probationary period under the Provisional Licence.
This achievement follows a comprehensive assessment visit by an NUC delegation to the University from 22nd to 24th April 2025, which evaluated the institution’s compliance with operational guidelines and academic standards. The University met all requirements, earning approval from the NUC Management Committee and endorsement by the Federal Government of Nigeria for full licensing.
The milestone reflects the visionary leadership and tireless commitment of the Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Kyari Dikwa, mni, DSC, FCNA, FCTI, ACA, Ph.D., whose unwavering dedication has been instrumental in establishing and nurturing the University into a thriving academic institution.
It also stands as a reflection of the hard work and professionalism of the Vice-Chancellor, staff, and management team, who have worked diligently to uphold the University’s mission of delivering quality education rooted in the values of Thought and Service.
With the issuance of the Full Operational Licence on 14th August 2025, Al-Ansar University, now fully recognised by the Federal Government of Nigeria, is poised to expand its academic offerings, strengthen research initiatives, and make even greater contributions to national and continental development.
