RSU Resumption Date: The Rivers State University (RSU) has released update on the Resumption for 2025/2026 Academic Activities.
The Management of Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, has announced that academic activities for the 2025/2026 academic session will officially commence on Monday, November 3, 2025.
According to a press release signed by the Registrar, Mrs. I. B. S. Harry, and dated October 24, 2025, the university management has approved that hostels will be opened on Sunday, November 2, 2025, to allow duly registered students to check in ahead of the session’s commencement.
Students have been advised to pay their school fees and accommodation fees promptly in order to secure bed spaces.
As part of preparations for the session, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, on Friday, October 24, 2025, inaugurated the Hall Wardens and charged them to maintain strict discipline in the hostels.
The Vice-Chancellor also cautioned students against selling or transferring bed spaces, warning that any student found guilty would face disciplinary action.
The university urged all students to comply fully with these directives to ensure a smooth start to the academic session.
Please note that the Rivers State University will continue to adhere strictly to its approved Academic Calendar and will inform all concerned about appropriate dates for resumption, vacation, and other academic activities only through the University’s official channels.
The University therefore dissociates itself entirely from the false publication and urges all concerned to disregard it.
