The Ministry has noticed how the practice of seniority among students of boarding schools has deteriorated into inhuman treatments of junior students by their seniors.

This has created an atmosphere of fear that is inconducive to learning.
Seniority is henceforth banned in all public boarding schools in Bauchi State.
All students must do their personal chores without belabouring their juniors. If there is any misconduct by a student that should be visited by punishment, individual students must not take the law into their own hands.
The matter must be reported to the prefect, housemasters or the school authority for appropriate action.
Any violation of the ban will be met with immediate disciplinary action that may include dismissal.
School administrators are called upon to exercise vigilance and put in place & mechanisms to check the ll practice. They will be held responsible for violations of the ban in their schools
