Rafi’atu, the girlfriend of the final year student of the Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, Bashir Abdullahi, who committed suicide after allegedly being dumped has denied allegations of cheating on him.
According to Rafi’atu, it was the deceased, who actually cheated on her and not the other way round.
Recall that the deceased student committed suicide by drinking a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper because his girlfriend allegedly ended their relationship and went to spend Valentine’s day with another man. Read here.
The incident happened at his Yalwawa residence, located on the outskirts of the state capital, around 5 pm on Monday, February 15.
He was rushed to the Rasheed Shekoni Teaching Hospital in the state capital, by his friends where he was confirmed dead by doctors on arrival.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Zubairu Ismail, said that the university has commence an investigation to unravel the circumstances that led to it.
