Abducted Oyo School Principal Cries Out for Rescue

The principal of Community High School in Esinele, Oyo State, appealed for urgent rescue after gunmen allegedly abducted her, several teachers, and students during a school attack in Oriire Local Government Area.

Mrs. Alamu, the principal of Community High School in Esinele, Oyo State, has appealed for urgent help after she, alongside several teachers and students, was reportedly kidnapped by unidentified gunmen.

In a heartbreaking video shared online, the principal explained that the attack happened around 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State. She said armed men stormed the school and forcefully abducted many staff members and students during the invasion.

According to her, the victims have remained in captivity since the incident occurred. She pleaded with the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and concerned Nigerians to step in and secure their freedom before the situation becomes worse.

Mrs. Alamu emotionally stated that their lives are in danger and called for peaceful intervention to prevent any loss of life. She stressed that everyone being held captive is desperate for rescue and safety.

The abduction comes shortly after reports emerged that armed men invaded Community High School in the Ahoro-Esinele community, causing panic among residents after kidnapping the principal and several students while also attacking members of staff.

Since the video surfaced online, many Nigerians have reacted with fear and concern over the growing insecurity in parts of the country, while others have continued to pray for the safe return of the victims. As of the time the report was filed, security authorities had not yet released an official statement concerning the incident.
