A video has shown a touching moment a girl cried while giving her farewell speech because her parents couldn’t make it to her graduation ceremony.


The 11-year-old girl identified as Bashiru Wasilat’s story was shared on Twitter by @Oluwakayodey_.
According to him, the girl’s parents couldn’t make it because of money, adding that the school was the one that funded part of her education.
“Bashiru Wasilat, the Head Girl of God’s Light Group of Schools, Oyo town is on the verge of dropping out.
“I was invited as Mc in the graduation ceremony when I heard about the story of the 11 years old girl.
“Wasilat was weeping when she was giving her farewell speech. None of her parents showed up at the party due to lack of money. Her dad is jobless and her mom is a ‘struggling’ trader.
“It was the school that funded some of her things, including the graduation gown.”
While sharing a copy of the girl’s result, he revealed that Wasilat took the First position in class and has been an A student.


Oluwakayode also called on kind Nigerians to help fund her Education, adding that those interested can DM him.
