Cursory: A talented young girl shines her light even with her disability

Indeed, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. That moment you think you’ve lost all hope, help comes knocking once more.
Slum2School Africa is a charity organization known for Providing Education to the vulnerable and is a source of help to Jennifer.
In May 2019, Slum2School Africa met Jennifer in a riverine village outside the village where they have been providing education for the children in that area since 2013.
They had finished their medical annual program in the community when they saw Jennifer isolated far away from the other children.
Jennifer had been suffering from a chronic ulcer since 2014 which had spread beyond her arm.
The organization admitted her at the intensive unit of Lagos State Teaching Hospital hoping they could save the arm. But unfortunately, it was amputated because that became a threat to her life.
Jennifer was properly taken care of by the team. On the 12th of Nov, 2019, Jennifer had a successful surgery which brought great relief to her.
The team intended enrolling Jennifer back to school, but none wanted her because she had been out of school for five years and as well physically challenged.
But the young girl kept trying. While at that, she was engaging herself in other activities like painting which brought her to the limelight.
In Feb 2020, Jennifer was offered a full scholarship to Corona Secondary School after passing all their exams.
While in school, she kept making waves notwithstanding her challenge. She is an athlete in school, the lead chorister in the choir, a striker in the soccer team, and an actor in the drama club.
Jennifer keeps shining and standing in the world’s stage.
