Cursory: The Anambra State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has taken Mmesoma Ejikeme, a student accused of falsifying her exam results, under her care. She plans to support and guide her like a daughter and calls on JAMB to reconsider her situation. This gesture aligns with the governor’s commitment to the welfare of Anambra State residents.
Anambra State’s Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, has revealed that she has taken Mmesoma Ejikeme, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, under her wing.
This decision comes after reports that Mmesoma fabricated her 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results.Chuma-Udeh explained that she has embraced Mmesoma like a daughter to assist her in achieving her life goals.

She made this known during an interaction with journalists in Awka, following her receipt of an award from FreeNews Magazine.
She said, “She is not the first I am adopting. Even as a lecturer, I have been adopting children and training them through schools.“I decided to adopt Mmesoma to help her actualise her dreams. She is a human being, so we cannot throw her away like that. We are not going to let her down. We are still pleading with JAMB to reconsider her.
“Governor Chukwuma Soludo is very passionate about every citizen in Anambra State. So we will train her through her education.”
The commissioner expressed her gratitude to the award organizers for acknowledging her efforts, noting that this recognition will motivate her to contribute further to the state.
Earlier, Obinna Mbonu, the Chairman of FreeNews Magazine Editorial Board, highlighted that the award was bestowed upon the commissioner in recognition of her capability to advance the governor’s objectives and aspirations in the education sector.
