The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed stealing of an Automated Teller Machine belonging to a bank within the premises of the Rivers State University.


The armed robbers were said to have been dressed in police uniforms when they gained access to the university premises.
DAILY POST gathered that the robbers had ordered the security personnel to open the gate around 3am on Wednesday and subsequently tied him down.
The gunmen reportedly carted away the ATM and a shuttle bus parked in the University premises.
The Rivers State Police Command spokesman while confirming the incident promised to send out more details on the attack later.
