Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has honored four outstanding students for their exceptional performance in the 2024 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination by awarding each student N1 million, totaling N4 million, to support their higher education.
At the award ceremony held in Bauchi, Governor Mohammed, represented by the Head of Civil Service, Alhaji Yahuza Adamu, emphasized the state’s dedication to human capital development and the vital role of education in driving national progress. He stated, “Investing in education is essential for building a prosperous future.”
The celebrated students and their remarkable JAMB scores include:
• Kawthar Shehu: 348
• Geoffrey Yakubu: 347
• Abdullahi Garba: 347
• Magaji Umar: 333
Governor Mohammed praised their achievements as a testament to the state’s progress in raising educational standards. He also encouraged the Ministry of Education to continue nurturing talent to ensure future success.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Alhaji Ali Babayo, lauded the governor’s unwavering commitment to fostering academic excellence. He urged students across the state to strive for similar accomplishments.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, Malam Ali Garba expressed profound gratitude for the financial assistance, describing it as a significant motivation for the students to pursue their educational dreams.
