Brilliant Girl Who Missed 400 over 400 JAMB Score by Just a Few Marks Gets N3m Scholarship

Cursory: Ejikeme Joy, an Enugu state native who lives in Nnewi with her father, an Okada (Motorcycle) rider, has been awarded a three million naira (N3 million) scholarship by Innoson Vehicles for her academic excellence.

Ejikeme Joy, the student who currently has one of the best results in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for the 2023 academic year, received a N3 million scholarship from Innoson Vehicles, a well-known Nigerian automaker.

ALLSCHOOL had earlier reported that Ejikeme, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School in Nnewi, Anambra state, had an astonishing performance in the 2023 UTME with a score of 362. That’s just 38 marks to scoring 400 over 400!

She had high scores in her subjects which got her her record-breaking score. Joy’s English Language, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry scores were broken down as 98%, 89%, 94%, and 81%, respectively.

The scholarship will go a long way toward giving the 16-year-old girl financial support so she can easily pursue her university education over the course of the following five years.

Speaking at the brief ceremony at his Umudim Nnewi country residence, Chief Chukwuma explained that he made the decision to give the scholarship to the top UTME candidate not only to recognize academic excellence but also to encourage other students to pursue academic excellence.

He said: “Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) company will continue to demonstrate its commitment towards social responsibility through various initiatives, including scholarship awards, jobs creation, and support for local communities.

This latest scholarship award is a testament to our’ dedication to empowering young Nigerians, and investing in the future of the nation.

Miss Ejikeme Joy, who was overjoyed, thanked Chief Chukwuemeka for his kindness and assured him that she would work harder to advance in her academic career as long as it was recognized.

Ejikeme promised that she would make Chief Chukwuma proud by putting more effort into her studies. She further stated that she is an Enugu state native, but lives in Nnewi with her father, an Okada rider.
