Oluwatomilola Adeniran, a brilliant Nigerian scholar and valedictorian of Pan-Atlantic University’s Class of 2024, graduated with a record-breaking 4.98 CGPA and inspired peers with his message of resilience and embracing challenges.


Oluwatomilola Adeniran, a remarkable Nigerian scholar, has been named the best-graduating student of Pan-Atlantic University, achieving an extraordinary cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.98 out of 5.00.
A graduate of Information Science and Media Studies, Oluwatomilola not only excelled as the top student in his department but also served as the valedictorian for the university’s Class of 2024.
During his valedictory speech, which has since gained significant attention on social media, Oluwatomilola delivered a powerful message of hope and resilience. He urged his peers to embrace challenges, step out of their comfort zones, and pursue growth with courage.
“You will never be 100% ready, but when the time comes to do it, you do it afraid,” he said, inspiring his classmates to face their fears boldly.
Oluwatomilola encouraged his graduating class to set ambitious goals—referred to as Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAG)—and to approach life’s uncertainties with determination. He reminded them that although the journey ahead might be daunting, it is ultimately rewarding for personal and professional development.
On Instagram, Oluwatomilola reflected on the central theme of his speech, “Do it afraid,” sharing how the mantra had transformed his own life. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response to his message.
“Thank you for every message, story, text, like, and share. I’m truly humbled because when I posted it, I didn’t expect this response,” he wrote. “It’s a message that changed my life, and I’m blessed to have shared it with you all.”
Looking ahead, Oluwatomilola is optimistic about the future and the opportunities that await him.
