BUK Warns Against Scammers Impersonating Vice-Chancellor on Facebook.


The attention of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has been drawn to a fake Facebook account being operated in the name of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa fsi.
The University wishes to categorically state that the said account does not belong to the Vice-Chancellor and is being used to misinform and potentially defraud members of the public, particularly with false claims relating to recruitment exercises.
Members of the public are hereby informed that:
The Vice-Chancellor does not conduct official university business or recruitment through personal social media messages.
The University’s recruitment process has already been concluded, and no further recruitment is ongoing.
Any communication on recruitment or official university matters is only issued through BUK’s verified and official channels.
The general public is therefore strongly advised to disregard any messages, requests, or information coming from such fake accounts and to avoid engaging or making any payments to individuals claiming to act on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor or the University.
Bayero University Kano will not be held responsible for any loss arising from interactions with fraudulent platforms or individuals.
