The woman, identified as Lydia Kamz, works at Standard Nursery and Preparatory School, where she introduced the doll — affectionately named Mary — as part of her class. She dressed the doll in a full school uniform, complete with neatly styled hair, shoes, and a school bag, making it look indistinguishable from the other pupils.
In several TikTok videos that have gone viral, Mary can be seen sitting among the children, listening during lessons, and even “participating” in class activities. During playtime, Lydia includes the doll in group games, drawing laughter and curiosity from both students and fellow teachers.
According to Lydia, her decision to bring Mary to class was not intended as a prank but as an innovative teaching method to make learning more engaging and to help her young pupils develop empathy, teamwork, and focus. She explained that using the doll helps children interact better and express themselves more freely in class.
