13-year-Old Nigerian Girl Wins World Championship Mathematics Competition After Solving 34 Questions in Seconds

Cursory: An exceptionally brilliant young girl has emerged the top scorer in just concluded International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), beat 150 fellow contestants after answering 34 question in seconds.

In the just concluded International mathematical Olympiad training, 13-year old Nasara James Dabo, a student of Ideal international college, Kaduna emerged as the winner.

The young genius who participated in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) finished the contest and gathered a total score of 145 points, after solving 34 Mathematical questions in 172 seconds (less than 3 minutes).

This record added another amazing feat to her name, as she emerged the top scorer, beating over 150 selected participants in the “Junior Category”.

As first place & the Olympiad Champion, she was honoured with a Gold medal, to honour her Consistent dedication in Mathematics & studies.

The International Mathematical Olympiad is a mathematical olympiad for pre-university students, and is the oldest of the International Science Olympiads. The first IMO was held in Romania in 1959. It has since been held annually, except in 1980.
