Nneka Ikediashi, an exceptional Nigerian woman, set a new record at Ambrose Alli University’s Faculty of Law by graduating with a 4.77/5.00 first-class degree, the highest in the faculty’s 40-year history.

An extraordinary Nigerian woman, Nneka Ikediashi, has set a new academic milestone at Ambrose Alli University’s Faculty of Law by graduating with a first-class law degree, achieving a cumulative GPA of 4.77 out of 5.00.
Her remarkable performance broke the faculty’s 40-year record, making her the highest-scoring graduate in its history.
Nneka’s achievement earned her the title of overall best graduating student in her cohort. Reflecting on her journey, she shared via LinkedIn that her impressive result included 52 A grades, 8 B grades, and 3 C grades.
In addition to being the faculty’s top graduate, she was also recognized as the best female student of her class and served as Chief Judge of the university’s LAWSAN JURAL Court during her studies.
Nneka attributed her success to God’s grace and unwavering faithfulness. Her academic journey began six years ago when she narrowly missed the Law Faculty’s cutoff score by just one point.
Initially admitted to study Political Science, she had no specific passion for the course but was determined to excel in whatever path she pursued.
In her first year, she achieved a perfect 5.0 GPA in both semesters, igniting her ambition to transfer to Law. Despite not having a deep passion for law initially, she saw it as a practical decision, recognizing the opportunities it could offer for her growth.
Her transfer to the Faculty of Law in her second year marked the beginning of an intense academic journey.
While graduating with first-class honors seemed daunting—achieved by only one student before her—Nneka remained faithful and dedicated, holding onto her belief in God’s plan.
Despite facing challenges such as missing results due to a unique matriculation number, she persevered and overcame every obstacle.
Nneka expressed her deep gratitude to her family, friends, mentors, colleagues, lecturers, and above all, to God, whose guidance made her remarkable achievement possible.
