Exceptional Medicine Student Emerges Overall Best Student At College of Health

Cursory: Brilliant Human Biology graduate, emerged as the overall best-graduating student at KNUST’s College of Health Sciences. As a fourth-year medicine student, he aspires to specialize in internal medicine, particularly cardiology and nephrology.

Nana Kwame Asiedu-Amponsah, a graduate in BSc Human Biology, has clinched the title of the overall best-graduating student at the College of Health Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). With a cumulative weighted average (CWA) of 84.52, this Mfanstipim School alumnus has soared to great heights.

The Voice Of KNUST celebrated this outstanding academic achievement, leading to a flood of commendations for Asiedu-Amponsah.

“Asiedu-Amponsah, a 4th-year medicine student, has been adjudged the Overall Best Student of the College of Health Science at the College of Health Sciences 2024 Excellence Awards” the caption read.

In an interview with Joy News, Asiedu-Amponsah revealed his aspirations in the field of internal medicine, particularly focusing on cardiology and nephrology.

He expressed his desire to contribute to the community, stating, “Maybe cardiology and nephrology. Nephrology because there’s a need when it comes to end-stage kidney disease; people need dialysis just to give back to the community. Cardiology because it’s interesting.”

To honor his exceptional performance, Asiedu-Amponsah was presented with a plaque and certificate at the KNUST College of Health Sciences Excellence Awards 2024.
