CURSORY: During a Bank robbery in Ankpa, the administrative center of Ankpa council area of Kogi State,Three people including a young graduate were killed.
Three people, including a lady who had just graduated were killed by robbers who raided commercial banks in Ankpa,the administrative center of Ankpa council area of Kogi State on Tuesday night.
It is reported that,that the robbers arrived in three vehicles, some motorbikes and blocked every escape routes, before carrying out the raid undisturbed for almost three hours.
In the words of a witness,the robbers heavily opened fire on the local police station before proceeding to First and Zenith banks.
Almost an hour later,it is reported that they drove through town, while occasionally opening fire.
During the indiscriminate shootings, that they killed some of the victims, which made people run for safety.
It is reported, that although the shots fired by the robbers were heavy, the police still succeeded in engaging them in a gunfire exchange.
This led to the robbers escaping with gunshot wounds and leaving some vehicles behind.
