“10,897 Applicants And I Was Blessed”- Proud Lady Celebrates As She Wins US Scholarship to Study Medicine

Ferdos Abdulkader has celebrated bagging a Fully Funded Scholarship to US Medical School against all odds.

Ferdos, the immigrant who lives in Aurora Colorado, United States, bagged the scholarship after defeating 10,000+ candidates.

Out of just 184 spots for the scholarship, she was among the few to be picked.

“Proud to announce I will be attending the University of Colorado school of medicine on a full ride scholarship! 10,897 applicants and only 184 spots and I was blessed to land as one of them. Thankful for all my friends family and mentors who have helped me get here. Thankful for my mothers prayers. Dr. Abdulkader loading,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

Ferdos, who has been actively pursuing her dream of becoming a physician, said her ultimate goal is to help give back to individuals who are disadvantaged.

According to her, “I strive to become a physician in communities that closely resembles those that I was raised in. I hope to bring healing to these communities through trust, listening, and understanding.“
