FG, please! Settle With ASUU — Student Cries Out

Students from different higher institutions of learning have expressed their concerns over the recent outburst between the federal government and the academic staff union of the universities ( ASUU).

The neglect and nonchalant concerns of the students’ problem would leave only their educational future bleak with no hope. How can we bring education closer to the reach of the people who need it most, with this ilk of intentional uncared for of both the government of the federation and the ASUU’s prolong disputes?

However, Nigerian students’ of universities expect that the last dialogue between the government and the ASUUs would bring an end to the lingering dispute. Alas! The union is now looming for another episode of the strike. We ought to be reminded that this strike is a serious security problem which if not attended to in time may boomerang.

Subsequently, if we would continue transgressing our educational sector, nothing positive could be effectively run in this country. This is because, in every country, education is the building block of that country.

rThe alerting ASUUs strike needs to be timely halted by creating another dialogue with the union in resolving this sad issue that perpetuated our educational setback.

However, there is an urgent need for the Federal Government and ASUU to reach an agreement over this issue that has been lingering for over a decade for the betterment of Nigerian students.
