The UK government has increased the financial proof required for international students to £1,483 per month in London and £1,136 outside London, with a minimum of £13,348 in savings for courses lasting nine months or more.

The United Kingdom government has raised the financial requirements for international students, requiring proof of £1,483 per month for those studying in London and £1,136 per month for students outside the city.
This change, an increase from the previous £1,334 for London and £1,023 for other areas, means students in courses lasting nine months or more in London must now show a minimum of £13,348 in savings to apply for a student visa.
The UK Home Office stated that the adjustment aligns with updated maintenance loans for domestic students, ensuring all students can cover living expenses.
