After working as a cleaner for 18 years at the University of Nigeria, Agadani Nnenna Gloria achieved her dream of becoming a licensed nurse, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.


Agadani Nnenna Gloria, a determined Nigerian woman, has achieved an inspiring milestone by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of Nigeria after working as a cleaner at the institution for 18 years.
Her dedication paid off as she was also inducted into the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), officially becoming a licensed nurse.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Nnenna reflected on her journey, recalling how she started as a health attendant responsible for cleaning student nurses’ classrooms. Despite the challenges, she remained committed to her dream of higher education.
“Years ago, I was employed as a cleaner to tidy student nurses’ classrooms. After 18 years of hard work, I am now a nurse, licensed to practice by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria,” she wrote.
She credited her success to faith, perseverance, and determination, acknowledging the difficulties she faced along the way.
For Nnenna, choosing nursing has been life-changing. Beyond earning her degree, she finds immense fulfillment in caring for patients, including providing dedicated nursing care for her father at home.
