Cursory: A frustrated man expressed his disappointment by setting his academic credentials on fire. Ghanaians interpreted his act as a reflection of his feelings. However, the authenticity of the individual’s ownership of the papers and the motivations behind his actions could not be confirmed yet.

Given that most of us have been in school our whole lives, just to chase academic excellence for a better future. It can be so frustrating to see and realise that the only thing waiting at the end of the tunnel is joblessness and a massive stretch of uncertainty.
A lot of people react in different ways when the realization hit them, but for a young man who is going viral now, he burnt all his bridges.
Self setting his papers on fire. Despite not saying a word, Ghanaians concluded he was frustrated by the lack of opportunities despite outdoing himself in school.
He meticulously arranged and placed his academic credentials, ranging from primary school to university, into a metallic cooking pot before burning them. Even the graduation booklet that featured his name was left to turn into ashes.
Some argued that since he graduated in 2022, it was too soon to expect employment owing to the tough economic times and high unemployment rate.
Questions were also raised about his experience, with employers known to demand evidence of years of work, skills gathered and recommendations among qualifications. It could not be verified if the man in the above clip is the owner of the papers and if it is the lack of employment that drove him to set them on fire.
