FUL Student Arrested in Connection to Colleague’s Death in Kogi State

A student named Jeremiah has been arrested in Kogi State for allegedly abducting and killing his colleague, Damilola, for ritual purposes after collecting a ransom from her family.

A student has been arrested in connection with the death of his fellow student after allegedly abducting her, collecting a ransom from her family, and using her for ritual purposes.

The suspect, identified as Jeremiah, is accused of being involved in the tragic death of Damilola, a 100-level Biology student at Federal University Lokoja.

Kogi State police operatives arrested Jeremiah, who is believed to be in his 20s and hails from Kaduna State. Reports indicate that he allegedly abducted Damilola and took her to an uncompleted building. After demanding and receiving a ransom of N400,000 from her family, he is accused of ending her life and harvesting her vital organs for ritual purposes.

Following the incident, the suspect reportedly contacted her family again, demanding an additional N10 million. However, police were able to track him down and arrest him. The suspect confessed to acting alone and led authorities to the location of her remains, explaining that he killed her because she had seen his face after the abduction.
