The management of Fountain University is aware of the recent announcement by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) regarding the suspension of admission into the University Law programme for the 2025/2026 Academic Session ONLY.

The management team understands that this news may have caused concern among our students, parents, and stakeholders. However, we would like to reassure everyone that the Law programme at Fountain University currently enjoys the full accreditation of the National Universities Commission (NUC) and the Council of Legal Education.
It is essential to note that the suspension of admission by JAMB only affects new intakes for the upcoming academic session. And it does not have any impact on our current students enrolled in the Law programme. Our students can continue their studies without any disruption, and we are committed to providing them with the highest quality education and support. And we’re glad to announce that our first set of Law graduates will be proceeding to the Nigerian Law School later this year.
We are proud to also announce that Fountain University has recently been selected as the first and only Nigerian University to participate in the upcoming 2025 International Dispute Week organized by Saudi Arabian Commercial Arbitration Moot, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This achievement is alluding to our institution’s commitment to excellence and our students’ exceptional abilities. We believe that this opportunity will provide our students with a unique platform to showcase their skills and knowledge in commercial arbitration, and we are confident that they will make us proud.
We want to assure our students, parents, and stakeholders that we are working closely with the relevant authorities to resolve this matter and ensure that our Law programme continues to meet the highest standards of excellence. We appreciate the trust and confidence that our students and their families have placed in us, and we are dedicated to upholding the values of academic integrity, excellence, and innovation that Fountain University is known for.

Taoheed ALIMI,
Public Relations Officer.
