CURSORY : According to NANS, the ban placed by the federal government on some overseas school affected about 15,000 Nigerian students.
Based on a previous news, an investigative journalist recently obtained a degree certificate from a Cotonou university, after paying certain amount of money.
The information lead to a ban on the university’s validation for Nigeria students, from the Nigerian government.

In a related news, according to the national association of Nigeria student NANS, it has been revealed that about 15,000 student in the country were affected by the recent government ban on Benin Republic Universities.
This information was made known by the NANS President of the Benin Republic, Ugochukwu Favour during an interview on channels television.
NANS has begged for leniency based on the ban on validation of the Benin Republic and Togo degree certificate.
The president of NANS also requested that the government considers admitting student legitimately.
Ugochukwu Favour said, “For now, I will say that the Federal Government should look into the issue. Now, you can’t, because it is happening in this school, punish everyone because it involved close to 15,000 students in the Benin Republic.
“I have really not validated if it has been happening for a long time. This is just like what just came out on social media and we are still trying to find out how long it has been happening,”
“So, that is why I set up a committee as the president to investigate it,” he said.
