UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION FOR EDUCATION AND CHEMISTRY

Below is the UTME/JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATION for Education and Chemistry;

English Language(*), Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) EDASAB and BENIN requires Chemistry, Mathematics and either Physics or Biology.
(ii) UNIOSUN requires Chemistry, Mathematics plus one (1) other Science subject.
(iii) LAGOS requires English Language, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Integrated Science
(iv) IAUED requires English Language and any three (3) from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics and Agric Science
(v) UNN requires Chemistry and any two (2) from Biology, Physics, Health Science and Agricultural Science.
(vi) MAKURDI requires Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
(vii) IBADAN accepts Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Mathematics.
(viii) FED-DUTSINMA Same as in Bsc Chemistry.
(ix) Subjects taken must include Chemistry. (x) MAIDUGURI requires Physics and any two (2) Science Subjects
(xi) UMYUK requires Chemistry and any other two (2) Science subjects.
(xii) ILORIN requires Chemistry, Biology, and any of Mathematics, Physics, or Agricultural Science.
(xiii) MAUTY requires Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology and Mathematics.
(xiv) ABU requires Use of English, Chemistry and any other 2 science subjects
(xv) FED-KASHERE requires Chemistry and any two from Biology, Physics and Mathematics
(xvi) PHC requires Chemistry and any other two (2) subjects from Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Mathematics, Physics.
(xvii) YABA-DEG requires English Language, Chemistry and any two (2)subjects from: Biology/Agricultural , Physics, Mathematics and Health Science .
(xviii) SOSU requires Chemistry and two (2) other subjects chosen from Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

O’LEVEL REQUIREMENT FOR EDUCATION AND CHEMISTRY

Below is the UTME Requirement for Education and Chemistry;

Five (5) SSC credits in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) AAUA requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes to include English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and any two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(ii) ABU accepts Five ‘O’ level credit which must include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology, plus Physics/Geography. TC II with credit pass in Integrated Science, English Language, Mathematics and any other two subjects.
(iii) BAYERO requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Chemistry, Mathematics, English language and two (2) other Science subjects.
(iv) OOU, and LASU accept TC II at merit level.
(v) CRUTECH, UDU and IAUED accept a pass in English Language.
(vi) MINNA requires ‘O’ Level credit in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science or Geography and other Science subjects.
(vii) RSU accepts ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
(viii) LAPAI and IMSU do not accept Agricultural Science.
(ix) LASU and IAUED require ‘O’ Level credit pass in Biology.
(x) TASUED requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1)sitting or six (6) ‘O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and any other two (2) or three (3) subjects from Biology, Geography, Physics, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics and Economics.
(xi) UNIOSUN accepts five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes or its equivalents in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to form the core subjects, with ‘O’ Level credit in one (1) other relevant Science subject at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xii) OAU requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.
(xiii) UNN requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes including English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics and two (2) other Science subjects.
(xiv) LAGOS requires Five O/Level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology, Agricultural Science.
(xv) TASUED requires five (5) ‘O’ Level credit passes at one (1) sitting or six (6) ‘O’ Level credit passes at two (2) sittings to include English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and others from Physics, Biology, Agricultural Science, and Geography.
(xvi) FED-DUTSINMA Same as in Bsc Chemistry
(xvii) LCITY accepts ‘O’ Level credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject.
(xviii) DELSU requires SSC ‘O’ Level with credit passes in at least (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Chemistry.
(xix) EBSU requires five (5) SSC credit passes to include Mathematics, English Language and three (3) other science subjects.
(xx) UYO requires at least five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics.
(xxi) UMYUK requires five (5) credit passes at SSC or its equivalent in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two (2) Science subjects at not more than two (2) sittings.
(xxii) ILORIN accepts Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology Physics, and any other science subject.
(xxiii) IAUED requires five (5) 0 Level credit including English Language and Mathematics and any three from Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Agric Science at not more than two sittings.
(xxiv) MAUTY accepts Five (5) O’Level credits in Mathematics, English Language, Chemistry and two (2) of Physics, Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics, Geography, Physical Education, Health Education, clothing & textiles, Food & Nutrition, Basic Electricity/Electronics.
(xxv) PHC requires Five (5) O Level credits passes in include English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics and any other two (2) subjects from Biology, Agricultural Science, Further Mathematics
(xxvi) FED-KASHERE requires Five credit passes in English, Mathematics, Chemistry and any two of Physics, Biology/Agricultural Science and Geography.
(xxvii) YABA-DEG requires Five (5) O’Level credits in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry and any other two Science Subjects.
(xxviii) SOSU requires Five (5) SSC credits in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two (2) of Physics, Biology and Agricultural Science.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR EDUCATION AND CHEMISTRY

Below is the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Requirement for Education and Chemistry;

Two (2) ‘A’ level/NCE passes including Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

(i) OAU, UDU, EKSU, CALABAR, and JOS require ‘A’ Level passes in either Physics or Mathematics. EKSU- Mathematics only. CALABAR accepts NCE credit or merit in Chemistry and one (1) other subject.
(ii) EKSU, MINNA, BENIN, OAU and UNN, accept NCE in Science subjects.
(iii) RSU, MINNA and MAUTY accept NCE merit and ND/HND lower credit.
(vi) LAGOS accepts: (a) Very good passes in the following JUPEB subjects: Chemistry, Physics, and Biology and ‘O’ Level requirements for Direct Entry. (b) NCE credit/merit in Chemistry and any other Science subject.
(v) EKSU and JOS accept ‘O’ Level credit passes in Mathematics and English language. (a) NCE merit (b) Pass in General English at NCE as equivalent to ‘O’ Level credit pass in English. (c) JOS does not accept NCE Integrated Science.
(vi) IMSU accepts NCE merit in Education and the two (2) subjects to be combined with education into 300 level and below merit into 200 level. IMSU requires ‘O’ Level pass in English Language.
(vii) EDZAR accepts candidates for D/E only.
(viii) EDKAN does not accept Integrated Science for Chemistry.
(ix) ADSU same as in Biology Education.
(x) BAUCHI accepts NCE pass with five (5) years teaching experience.
(xi) EDZAR requires three (3) ‘A’ Level passes in NCE including Chemistry.
(xii) EDZAR requires NCE in Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject with ‘C’ grade including Education.
(xiii) UMYUK accepts candidates with a minimum of 9 points in IJMB/HSC/GCE ‘A’ Level/NCE in Chemistry and any other relevant subject. Candidates with a minimum of lower credit pass in Diploma in Chemistry Education from recognized institution may also be admitted.
(xiv) TASUED accepts ND/HND upper credit in Chemistry and Science Laboratory Technology with option in Chemistry
(xv) BOWEN accepts IJMB/NCE/ND or approved equivalent in Chemistry and either Mathematics or Physics.
(xvi) UNIOSUN accepts NCE and approved equivalents with a lower credit pass.
(xvii) IAUED accepts five (5) 0 Level credit passes including Mathematics and English Language, plus Diploma or NCE in Chemistry at credit level or 2 credits passed at advanced Level.
(xviii) UNN accepts: (a) ND in other programme at distinction, credit or merit level. Candidates who possess the University requirements plus credit in the teaching subject may be considered for direct entry admission but will run the four (4)-Year programme. (b) NCE credit/merit passes in addition to TCII merit or ‘O’ Level credit passes in relevant subjects.
(xix) MAKURDI accepts: (a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in physics (b) Holders of the UTME requirements plus ‘A’ Level passes in the relevant science subjects. (c) ND holders with upper credits in relevant programme who possess the UTME requirements. (d) NCE holders with two (2) credit passes in relevant subjects who possess the UTME requirements may be admitted into 200 level.
(xx) EDKANO – Candidates must obtain not less than eight (8) points in NCE.
(xxi) SOSU accepts Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) or Diploma in Science Education with minimum of merit.
(xxii) AAUA accepts NCE merit including Chemistry Education, and one (1) other relevant teaching subject.
(xxiii) FED-DUTSINMA Same as in Bsc Chemistry
(xxiv) DELSU requires at least merit passes and above in Chemistry and Education or any other subject at NCE or above GCE ‘A’ Level passes which must include Chemistry.
(xxv) ABU accepts NCE with ‘C’ grade in Education and Chemistry. IJMB or ‘A’ level with a minimum of ‘C’ grade in Chemistry and a minimum of ‘D’ grade in one other Science subject from Biology, Physics, Geography. ABU Diploma in Chemistry Education with Merit pass.
(xxvi) EBSU accepts: a) two (2) ‘A’ Level passes in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computer, Mathematics or Integrated Science. b) HND and NCE/OND with minimum of Merit and Upper credit respectively.
(xxvi) UYO requires; a) NCE in relevant subject(s) with an overall merit pass or above for a three-year degree programme. b) Advanced level GCE or JUPEB in two (2) relevant subjects. c) National Diploma in Educational Technology (DET) (minimum of lower credit level) in any area related to Chemistry Education.
(xxvii) MAUTY accepts NCE/ND/HND Credit Pass in chemistry or other relevant fields. IJMB/’A’ Level credit passes including Chemistry and other one relevant science Subject.
(xxviii) PHC accepts Two (2) A/level GCE or HSC or JUPEB or IJMB passes in the relevant subjects including UTME entry requirements. NCE with Credit passes in the relevant subjects including UTME entry requirements
(xxix) LAGOS accepts NCE with credit/merit in Chemistry and any Science subject. Very good passes in the following JUPEB subjects: Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
(xxx) FED-KASHERE require Two A’ Level passes in Chemistry and any one of Physics, Mathematics or Biology Credit passes in ND, NCE/IJMB Lab. Sci. or NCE Chemistry, Biology or Physics and relevant IJMB combination.
(xxxi) YABA-DEG accepts Two (2) A Level/NCE passes including Chemistry and one (1) other Science subject
(xxxii)ILORIN accepts; a) At least two (2) ‘A’ Level Credit pass in Chemistry and any other science related subjects (i.e. Biology, Physics or Integrated science, computer science). ((Minimum of 6 points in IJMB or JUPEP is also acceptable). b) NCE (Distinction/ Merit passes) in Education, Chemistry and Biology or Integrated science: Plus five (5) “O” Level credit passes ( English Language, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other two (2) relevant science subjects).
