Joy Mojisola Raimi, a 24-year-old graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, has emerged as Miss World Nigeria 2025, proudly representing Osun State at the grand finale held at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event, which featured 37 contestants from across the country, celebrated Raimi’s elegance, resilience, and commitment to humanitarian causes. She stood out with her impactful initiative, The Love for Humanity project—dedicated to spreading kindness and restoring faith in humanity.
Ben Murray-Bruce, founder of the Silverbird Group, announced the news on X, congratulating the newly crowned queen and commending her journey from a challenging childhood to national recognition.
“In the final round, Raimi faced fierce competition from representatives of Imo, Ebonyi, Abuja, and Abia,” Bruce noted. “Her powerful story of overcoming bullying and personal loss moved both the judges and audience.”
Raimi, who lost her mother at a young age and endured abuse from a caregiver, shared how those painful experiences fueled her determination to succeed.
Now carrying the Miss World Nigeria title, she will represent the country at the 72nd Miss World pageant, which will be held in Hyderabad, India, from May 7 to 31. She will compete alongside participants from 140 countries.
