Nigerian Student Embarks on 50-hour Wash-a-thon to Break Guinness World Record

Cursory: A 200 level OAU student identified as Subair Enitan has embarked on a 50 hour wash-a-thon to break a Guinness World Record

Miss Subair Enitan, a 200 level Obafemi Awolowo University student, has has kicked off a 50-hour hand wash-a-thon to break a Guinness World Record (GWR).

The Guiness World Record has set the date at Ile-ife, Osun State, after the student had informed them.

The student is determined, vowing to finish the 50 hours by Sunday.

In her statement;

“I’m motivated by my background and life’s lessons to undertake this wash-a-thon. The experience is hard to describe, but it’s taught me selflessness.

“I’m certain I’ll reach the goal of 50 hours of hand washing, and with God’s grace, emerge victorious.

“Despite the immense support from my fellow students, I’m relying on God’s grace. I plan to finish this wash-a-thon on Sunday. I’m setting a record; I can’t fail because no one has done this before.

“So, even if I manage 5 minutes, I’ve set a record. My parents are very supportive, and I call on Nigerians to support me during these 50 hours of washing.”

The Student Union President, Abbas Akinremi-Ojo, has confirmed the necessary support to ensure her victory in the challenge.

As of the time of updating this page, the study has recorded over 50hours.

In a facebook post sighted by ALLSCHOOL.ng, and posted by Muyiwa, she already has recorded 57hours+

The post reads: 57 hours and still counting! The World record Contender ENITAN SUBAIR of Obafemi Awolowo University have now surpassed the 50 hrs target has she has now done extra 7hrs and yet it doesn’t appeared she will ever stop! She has been washing clothes continuously for over 2 days at a go now. This is indeed hard-work and determination. Wishing her the best. Great ife to the World!
